WORSHIP LEADING TEAM (Small Group):
Description of Ministry: This is a small group of musicians (vocals and instruments) that lead in CHBC’s worship services.
Purpose of Ministry: Each Worship Leading Team prepares and leads the congregation in worship through the use of music, prayer and scripture reading. The core purpose statement is: We are worshipers leading God’s people in passionate pursuit of His Glory, while resting in His Embrace.
Type of Person Best Suited for the Ministry: The three primary attributes are: calling, gifting (skills and talents), and stewardship. Previous musical experience is necessary. Interviews and auditions are required for participation.
Time Commitment: Typically each team rotates—two Sundays on, then two Sundays off. A single rehearsal is held each week that a team is on. Each rehearsal is two-three hours long.
WORSHIP TECH SUPPORT
Description of Ministry: The effectiveness of each of our worship services and special events is highly dependent on individuals to present our audio, visuals and lighting. This ministry may operate in the background, but is just as important as any of the “up-front” ministries.
Purpose of Ministry: Tech Support ensures that our audio, visual and lighting elements for each worship service and special event are delivered with high quality.
Type of Person Best Suited for the Ministry: Previous experience in audio systems, visual arts, and/or lighting systems is very helpful. However, we are willing to train individuals who are highly motivated to learn and willing to commit to a regular schedule.
Time Commitment: Time commitment can vary from two-six hours each week or month depending on a person’s schedule and desire for involvement.
